“People Will Start Paying N50 Taxi Fare To Work When The CNG Buses Arrive” – Tinubu’s Aide, Ajuri Ngelale

Channels Television interviewed the media and publicity aide to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ajuri Ngelale, where he spoke about the palliatives arrangement by his principal.

Ajuri Ngelale said, “the fact is that when the three thousand CNG-powered buses arrive, they will be distributed across several parts of the country. It will make transportation better. What this means is that people will likely start paying fifty naira (N50) as taxi fare when going to work as against paying three hundred naira when they board a bus powered by petrol.”

Speaking further, Ajuri Ngelale said, “as regards minimum wage, I will not like to preempt the president or the committee reviewing it but I think the president won’t want more than a doubling of it.”

Lastly, Ajuri Ngelale said, “I want you to note that all state governors agreed to increasing the minimum wage. This will be different from from the administration of president Muhammadu Buhari where there was a back and forth on unanimous payment of the minimum wage.”
