Protest: Portharcout Refineries Will Start Production By Dec 2023 After Ongoing Rehabilitation-BAT

It is no more news that many streets across many states in the nation, witnessed massive protest on Wednesday

The protest which was championed by the leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and Trade Union Congress, TUC, had many Nigerians marched in solidarity over the high cost of living

Recall that the labour union had initially held a meeting with the federal government which didn’t yield any positive outcome before they decided to embark on the protest

After the protest, the federal government has now released a press statement. The press statement which was signed by the publicity secretary, Dele Alake stated that the Federal government has had a fruitful meeting with the labour Unions and they have decided to end the strike

In a post made on the official Twitter page of Bayo Onanuga, the president gave them several promises which made them considered suspending the strike

The president told them that the Portharcout refineries will start production in Dec 2023 and many other things were said
