The spokesman for President Bola Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga, sincerely encouraged Nigerians to exhibit patience with President Tinubu’s administration in the wake of the tremendous public outrage over the rise in fuel prices. Dele Farotimi is a Nigerian lawyer and political activist. Dele Farotimi said that Mr. Bayo is merely attempting to placate the irate Nigerian populace over the recent increase in petrol prices.
“Mr Bayo Onanuga is paid to say what he has said and he can’t be expected to say anything from what he has said,” he said in an interview with Arise Tv. He is compensated to inform us of what the government thinks we should know. But it is the responsibility of every human to consider the basis from which they have acted. There is nothing uplifting about Nigeria.
Every time we’ve attempted to get beyond where we are, the system has been able to snuff off optimism. The Nigerian government is skilled at planning; nevertheless, the plans are often bad and not in the interests of the people. They give little consideration to the interests of the people.
