Transfer News: Liverpool Join United In Amrabat Chase, Chelsea Want To Sell Four

Liverpool ‘join United’ in Amrabat chase

According to a report by The Athletic , Liverpool have ‘joined United’ in the race to sign Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat. The Moroccan international has been closely linked with a move to United in recent weeks after his brother claimed he failed to join the club on loan back in January. There is an argument that United still need cover in midfielder, particularly on the defensive side of the operation, if Casemiro is lost to injury or suspension.

Chelsea want to sell four

Chelsea want to sell four first-team players by Monday, it has been claimed. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Romelu Lukaku, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech were all told to delay their return to pre-season training last week. They are all set to report on Monday ahead of the club’s tour to the USA. However, the Evening Standard says Chelsea want to wrap up sales of all four players before then.

Man Utd hold talks over move for Pavard

Manchester United have reportedly held talks over a move for Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard. The Red Devils and Erik ten Hag have been busy so far this summer, bringing in Mason Mount from Chelsea as their first high-profile signing of the window. A move for a new goalkeeper is currently being worked on after David de Gea’s exit, with Inter Milan’s Andre Onana expected to be the man to come in. Ten Hag also appears to be on the search for a new striker, with a proposal already made to Atalanta for Rasmus Hojlund.
