‘Sanwo-Olu’s Aide Was Spotted With A Banner That Says ‘My Lagos, Not Your Lagos’ – Ik Osakioduwa

Ik Osakioduwa, a media personality, and a VGC Election Volunteer have alleged that the All Progressive weaponized Bigotry in the last Governorship election in order to win in Lagos State. He stated that one of the Sanwo-Olu aides, Jubril Gawat who happened to be a Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos state Governor on New media was spotted in a procession against Non-Yoruba ethnic groups in Lagos state.

Osakioduwa asserted that the inscription on the banner is ‘My Lagos, not your Lagos and you are only here for business.” He argued that for people who had passed through the four corners of a school they cannot deny that the words being used, there is bigotry. IK being displeased with the attitude of some Yoruba language speakers in the state, he contended that what happened last week Saturday was a clear division of the people. According to Ik, nobody has taken responsibility for the intolerance being portrayed by the Yoruba people to non-Lagosians in the last election.

He said, ”The APC are saying their party didn’t weaponize bigotry but there is a picture circulating where Mr. Jubril Gawat who is Sanwolu Aide was spotted with a picture that say, ”My Lagos, not you Lagos.’ And he puts in small caps that ‘you are here because of your business. If that is not bigotry? I’m not sure what it is. And that right there is a senior assistant to the governor on new media. If that is their posture, then they are completely bigotry, division and oppression of the people.”
