Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has reacted after a section of the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party leaders called upon the National Police Service to move with speed and arrest Opposition Leader Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta.
UDA leaders held a presser earlier on Tuesday, 21 March, urging the police to arrest Raila because of the demos that he facilitated in the capital on Monday
They called on the police also to arrest former President Uhuru Kenyatta, who allegedly sponsored the protests that were witnessed on Monday.
William Kabogo has reacted by telling the UDA leaders to be careful with what they are calling for and wishing for in this country
According to Kabogo, calling for the arrest of Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta is basically incitement.
He opined that arresting the duo could take the country down as he urged the UDA leader to relax and let President William Ruto do his job
The flamboyant politician opined that President William Ruto has what is needed to calm down the situation.
He said Ruto won the Presidency and can still win what is currently going on in the country without making any arrests as is being demanded by UDA leaders
“We need to be careful not to take our country down, guys relax and let WSR deal with these issues [email protected], He won elections he can still win here,” he said.
The UDA leaders accused Raila of leading demos that were not peaceful and that many properties were destroyed, thus need for the police to arrest him
Uhuru was accused of being the man behind the finance section of Azimio protests. According to UDA leaders, Uhuru does not want to pay taxes and wants to use demos to achieve that.
