Don’t wear designer clothes if you are against LGBTQ

– –

Sister Derby is a staunch proponent of LGBTQ rights and in this new update, she is vehemently reinforcing her stance to have members of the LGBTQ fully protected.

The singer and model who recently reunited with her former boyfriend Medikal on a new song, said most investors and successful showbiz stakeholders are members of the LGBTQ community hence those who are against them also desist from wearing their brands.

“I care a lot and I am passionate enough because I have empathy. Secondly, in my industry, most of the people that are making it happen are part of the LGBTQ community. I don’t even like the fact that it is a community. Why is it a community? We are all humans, right? I don’t see why it should even be different,” she said.

“The top fashion designers, the make-up artists, the hair stylists. The top fashion designers in the world, let’s say 99% are queer. So, if you are against queer persons, please stop wearing designer brands,” she emphasised in the ‘Sincerely Accra’ podcast.

Sister Derby was in the news recently when she shared in a fresh tweet how one guy touched her soft backside at an event in response to Cina Soul’s interview, in which she described how some male fans harass female artistes in the country.

Sister Deborah claimed that after finishing her performance headlines by rapper Quamina MP, two young girls approached her for a selfie. She agreed to take the picture, only for a male to press her buttocks from behind.

Sister Deborah claimed that after turning around and slapping him in the face, the crowd’s security removed him.

Her tweet was intended to encourage women, particularly performers who experience this type of harassment, to stand up for themselves.

“I slapped a man backstage at quamina’s show. I got off stage after performing and two ladies asked for a selfie. As we were taking it, a man pressed my butt. I immediately turned and slapped him. Then the bouncers came and took him away.”
