Former Accra Hearts of Oak Eric Marfo thanks late Christian Atsu for saving his life

Former Accra Hearts of Oak player Eric Marfo has praised the efforts of late Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu for saving his life when in confilment.

The former enforcer is saddened by the passing of the former Ghana international who was laid to rest on Friday.

Atsu was buried today at Ada Foah, his home town after passing in the tragic earthquake that hit Turkey in February.

His funeral, was held in Accra on Friday, before his mortal remains was curried to his hometown for burial after state funeral.

Eric Marfo said he is saddened about the demise of the former Chelsea player who helped him out of prison when he was in trouble.

“Christian Atsu has done a great deal for me, and I and my family cannot forget about this,” he told Accra-bassed TV station Onua TV.

Marfo added: “I am forever grateful to him, he took me out of trouble, and I wish his family all the best in the future,” he added.

Christian Atsu, helped out a lot during his life time, bailing out a lot a prisoners, freeing them from confilment, and also paying paying for the treatment of hospital patients among others.
