Kisumu County Deputy Governor Mathews Owili has saud that over the past few days, there has been heavy police presence in Nairobi City and Kisumu while remarking that the police have started demonstrating even before themselves can launch the demonstrations.

He has gone ahead to invite them on 20th March 2023 in Nairobi for the mega mass action that had been announced yesterday by Raila Odinga and his Azimio partners while arguing that they too the high cost of living had not spared them.

He has however told the police not to try to oppose the planned demonstrations as it was enshrined in the Kenyan constitution of 2010.

This comes as demonstrations have started off in Kondele, Kisumu County just hours after Azimio leader Raila Odinga officially announced the beginning of mass action against President William Ruto’s government.
