Moments When Uhuru Kenyatta Was Pictured Carrying Coffins(PHOTOS)

Despite being one of Kenya’s most successful politicians, former president Uhuru Kenyatta has repeatedly demonstrated his “down to earth” demeanor.

Uhuru Kenyatta was born on October 26, 1961, to Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, the founding father and first President of Kenya.

He went to St. Mary’s School Nairobi before enrolling at Amherst College, Massachusetts, USA, where he graduated with a degree in political science and economics in 1985.

Despite being the son of Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Kenya’s first President, Uhuru has never shied away from expressing sympathy for his deceased friends during funerals.

The late president has occasionally been spotted carrying the caskets of allied leaders. He was once seen lending a hand with the late Vice President George Saitoti’s casket.

The President not only carried Saitoti’s coffin, but also that of extreme Kenyan leader Joseph Kasaine Ole Nkaissery.

Moreover, Uhuru has been seen carrying the casket of late minister John Michuki in the past. Here are numerous instances when Uhuru was seen assisting with the transport of deceased leaders’ caskets.
