Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga announced fourteen days ago that he is going after the Kenya Kwanza regime if they fail to heed to his demands. He gave a deadline which elapses today at midnight.
A spot check at State House Nairobi shows heightened activity around the official residence of President William Ruto. Roadblocks that were not there yesterday have been erected at almost every turn.

A contingent of police officers from different units can also be spotted on high alert providing surveillance.
It has now become a common occurrence to see police officers around the State House every time the ODM leader holds rallies in the city. They were also present when Raila was at Jeevanjee gardens.

During his initial rally at Kamukunji grounds, Raila was heard saying Ruto should vacate State House and let him occupy it as the legitimate Head of State.
In Kisumu, roads leading to the Kisumu State Lodge were also blocked forcing motorists to use a different route. Police officers could also be conspicuously seen around the official residence of the president.

Mr. Odinga is planning to frustrate President William Ruto starting tomorrow and force him to act on reforms at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, IEBC, and deal with the high cost of living.
Allies of the former Prime Minister have confirmed that the opposition will take a different trajectory starting tomorrow and assume a more combative style of politics to make the government accountable.
Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi told the Nation that Azimio would ask its supporters to boycott paying “punitive” taxes and buying certain products. They would also stage demonstrations in different counties. Also on the cards is an attempt to “unlawfully usurp” the powers of the executive.
