Warplanes Unleashed as Plane Flying to Nairobi From Iceland Fails To Make Contact Causing Scare

Warplanes traveling at Mach 1 were unleashed as a plane flying to Nairobi from Iceland failed to make contact.

According to the information we have with us, RAF jets were unleashed to establish the nature of a civilian airplane that could not identify itself.

It is reported that the plane had two people onboard and was flying from Iceland to Nairobi, Kenya via Southend when it lost contact and had to be escorted to Stansted airport with RAF jets.

The Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom said it always had jets under a “quick reaction alert” that respond to any aircraft that cannot be identified or is not communicating with either civilian or military air traffic control.

A sonic boom was heard in most parts of the country causing scare.A sonic boom is caused when planes fly faster than the speed of sound, which at ground level is about 761mph (1,225km/h) also known as Mach 1.
