Ministry of Education has confirmed that they will release capitulation money for Junior Secondary schools across the country any time from now. According the report shared by Honourable Ezekiel Machogu, he affirmed that the government plans to disbursed the fund as from next week. A report that has impressive many people across the country. The government is planning to release whooping sh 9.6 billion towards junior secondary education this month.
Impressively all primary school heads who are currently in those schools that will host junior secondary schools will head those JSS in the period of one year. Therefore those heads will be in charge of those funds.
Therefore this move will give kshs 15000 per student as capitation per year. This are likely to be disbursed in three phases in a year. Also about 4000 will go towards improving school infrastructure. According to the report the Ministry will give a circular that give break down of how the funds will be used.
