Former Nigeria military President, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida has reacted after the former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared winner of the 2023 presidential election by the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is the national leader of the All Progressives Congress defeated other presidential candidates Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party.
Reacting after the victory, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida congratulated the President-elect, Bola Tinubu over his election as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He added; “it’s a thing of joy that this is happening in my lifetime. I can confidently say that Tinubu is a good man for the job.”
Recall that Bola Ahmed Tinubu paid a visit to the Minna-based elder statesman when he was campaigning for the presidential election last year.
