The ruling All Progressive Congress, APC vice presidential candidate, Shettima Kashim, spoke to journalists after voting in Constituency 023, Lawan Bukar, Lamisula Ward, and Maiduguri and expressed optimism about APC’s victory.
He said, “I believe by the grace of God, the candidate that will emerge as president is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. But winning is one part of the job; a long journey is the basis of our country’s unity and progress.
“God will give him the wisdom and courage to unite this nation. That is our wish. These are our prayers.”
Speaking about the delay leading up to his vote, Shettima said: “I don’t want to pass judgment because it’s too early and as a political leader I have to be patient.
“I don’t believe in such things. Managing 176,000 electoral units is no easy task. We must give INEC the benefit of the doubt and we should believe in the process”, He said.
