2023 Election: New methods Politicians use to buy votes – EFCC reveals

Politicians have allegedly improved their plans to purchase votes in next elections, according to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC, which claims to have discovered further techniques.

Speaking on Channels Television on Wednesday, Chairman Abdulrasheed Bawa said that information has been acquired that suggests some politicians aim to buy votes not just with money but also with goods and services.

Nigerians are experiencing a statewide shortage of brand-new naira notes, which is the cause of this. Bawa asked voters to support the EFCC in its efforts to prevent vote-buying during the election on Saturday. According to Bawa, Nigerians should elect people with morality and honesty to office this time around.

“According to our understanding, a significant number of individuals have acquired items that they want to use to acquire votes in lieu of cash. He clarified that some of these things do exist. Politicians are also from Nigeria. We each operate in a unique manner. In addition, we have firsthand knowledge of the subject.
