APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos State, is purportedly supported by Channels TV journalist and TV anchor Seun Okinbaloye, according to a claim that has been circulating on social media.
Seun Okinbaloye, in response, issued a statement on Monday via his Twitter account claiming that the rumors that he had endorsed the APC presidential candidate were untrue. Seun Okinbaloye explained that as a journalist, he is unable to support any presidential candidate when asked why he cannot support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.
He cited the original statement he had previously made when he added, “Please dismiss the phony news that has been spreading. I have never endorsed a candidate as a journalist and I never will. Nigerians are blessed.

Also, Seun Okinbaloye is an award-winning political and investigative journalist who works as the political correspondent for Channels Television. He has more than ten years of expertise in the broadcasting sector. Channels has become the television channel to watch during elections thanks to Seun’s leadership of the station’s team during the coverage of successive elections in Nigeria.
Government attention has been drawn by Seun’s reports to seemingly forgotten communities and neglected or abandoned development initiatives.
