Paris Saint-Germain returned to action in the UEFA Champions League today when they welcomed Bayern Munich to the Parc Des Princes Stadium in what was indeed an intense game of football. The Bavarians had an astonishing performance in the game as they narrowly defeated PSG 1-0 thanks to a lone goal from Kingsley Coman.
Well, Paris Saint-Germain had one of their worst performances of the season in this game as they were outplayed and outclassed by Bayern Munich at their very home ground. The Parisians could barely create a scare for Bayern Munich defensively as they struggled to attempt a threatening shot on target in the game. The French Giants lost the ball carelessly in the game and couldn’t orchestrate any deadly attack against the obviously better side Bayern Munich.
Well, I believe Lionel Messi’s Ballon D’or chances this year could be ruined by Paris Saint-Germain’s awful gameplay recently. The Argentine International who has been tipped to win his 8th Ballon D’or award this year might eventually not win it due to Paris Saint-Germain’s recent awful performance. Their pattern of play isn’t captivating to watch as they struggled to dominate in big matches which is becoming worrying. Lionel Messi obviously needs to win the UEFA Champions League trophy this season to stand a chance of winning yet another Ballon D’or award but with Paris Saint-Germain’s recent unconvincing performance, I doubt if the Argentine International will lift that prestigious award again.
