In continuation of their presidential campaign before the general election later in February, the Peoples Democratic Party stormed the city of Enugu’s capital on Tuesday.
The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and its national leader, Iyorchia Ayu, were given permission to address the enormous throng, and this is when the rally took a different dimension. Before Ayu spoke to the gathering, PDP’s Mbah, the state’s governorship candidate, had spoken.
Ayu informed the crowd during his speech on the party’s lengthy history of state leadership and its outcomes.
After he mentioned Peter Gregory Obi, the presidential candidate for the labour party, in conversation, the crowd became enraged. According to him, individuals who are visiting them to speak with them are merely there to trick them because they are unable to assist them. He warned the gathering that voting for the labor party would be a waste of their ballots. He claimed that if they support Peter obi and his running companion, they will effectively be supporting the All Progressive Congress, or APC.
The moment he said it, the crowd started to boo in disappro. Some of them were observed selecting sachet water and hurling it towards the podium where he was speaking.
