Dr Hakeem Baba- Ahmed, one of the leaders of Northern Elders Forum has said they are not sitting on fence concerning the choice of their own preferred presidential aspirant in the 2023 election.
According to Dr Hakeem Baba- Ahmed, he said and I quote “Just so you know:I am insulted by people who say I or NEF are ‘sitting on the fence’ because we do not do what they want politically. We do not sit on fences, and we are not afraid to take decisions. We will do what we think is right, when the time is right. Stop this childish game.”
The Nigeria Northern Elders Forum should back the candidate for president in 2023 who has the most qualifications since it can have a big impact on who wins the election. The Northern Elders Forum can assist in making sure that Nigeria is on a route to stability, economic advancement, and advancement by supporting a candidate who possesses the expertise, insight, and experience required to confront the difficulties the nation faces.
Supporting the ideal candidate can also lead to the creation of a more inclusive society where everyone can gain from shared opportunities, resources, and a sense of national identity. In the end, supporting the right presidential candidate will benefit all Nigerians since it will make their nation more prosperous and powerful.
