Lillian Afegbai says she almost got expelled over sex scene with Jim Iyke

Nigerian actress Lillian Afegbai has disclosed that she almost got expelled from the university after shooting a scene involving sex in a movie with Jim Iyke.

On the most recent Tea with Tay episode, Afegbai said that she had to appear before a disciplinary panel at Benson Idahosa University (BIU) in Benin.

When she was juggling education and a career in film, she claimed that the acting gig was her first movie role. “I formally began acting in BIU. They nearly banned me from school for having a sex scene with Jim Iyke in my debut movie. So I was young when the movie came out,” Afegbai added.

“It was just a lot,” the actress continued, “and others in the school, you know how envy now, started informing our Reverend Seb’s wife, so they brought the movie to school, they said I acted in an improper scene, and they repaired a panel.”

She claimed that she had to explain to them that everything they had witnessed was fictitious and that she would do nothing to put her Christian beliefs in danger.

“I believed I would be dismissed. I was terrified. It was a Christian school, so you actually had to face a panel when students started making things into a thing and talking about them in class. I began explaining to them that I am a Christian when I got to the panel. I would never act in a way that would put my Christian faith in danger, but this is acting, mother, it’s fantasy.
