The Spokesperson of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council and the Minister of Labour, Festus Keyamo have reacted to the recent documents being released by the ex-aide of Atiku Abubakar. The ex-aide who’s identified as Michael Achimugu had claimed to have various pieces of evidences on how Atiku ran the seat as Vice President. Festus Keyamo have stated in a TVC interview that the APC has no hand in the whole matter.
Keyamo alleged that Achimugu has been a close associate with Atiku Abubakar for years and that they only woke up to see the evidences being flaunted on the internet. He stated that they are only charging Atiku to court based on the veracity of the information Achimugu has published to the media space. He argued that Tinubu have never met Achimugu before and that this is not a situation of defaming anyone.
He said, ‘This whistle blower is not coming from our ranks, we don’t know this whistleblower. We woke up one morning and saw the news everywhere like every other person. If you look at the documents presented by him, you will see the evidence there. If you even google his name, you will see that Michael Achimugu has been a close associate of Atiku Abubakar, so it’s not a situation where somebody wants to manufacture lies against somebody. Tinubu has never met him before and he [Michael Achimugu] has never said that as well.”
