“I Started Doing Yahoo Because I Could Not Get A Job After My NYSC” – 34 Yr-Old Suspected Fraudster Says

A 34 year-old suspected Fraudster named Usman Haruna from Kogi state was reported by Alaroye TV to have been arrested by operatives of the ogun state Police. After the arrest of the suspect and his accomplice was confirmed by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO); Abimbola Oyeyemi, Usman Haruna narrated how he joined and his deeds so far.

On why he joined, the suspected Fraudster said, “I started doing yahoo because I could not get a job after serving (NYSC). I was not serious with it when I was in school until I graduated. I graduated from gateway polytechnic with a lower credit result in accounting.” He added, “my work is to pick funds. I met Prince, Simon and one other guy at a Microstation in Ikorodu axis of Lagos state around year 2018. We exchanged contacts but only transacted twice. It was during the second one we got arrested.”

On how he got arrested, the suspected Fraudster said, “the guys I help in picking funds made $35,970 and while trying to pick it, it got delayed. They asked me to wait for some working days but those guys thought I wanted to go away with the money. They tricked me to a herbalist’s shrine and held me in custody. When they were threatening to kill me, I managed to call my uncle who is a police officer and he came to arrest everyone of us.”

Towards the last part of the interview, the suspect said he regrets his actions and hopes to make amends in future. What are your thoughts about his confessional statements?
