Most Kenyans think that president William Ruto is against Nyanza people probably because of the conflicts that have been there between him and Raila Odinga.
Even though he said during campaigns that he will serve the whole country should he win the election, people still misinterpret the differences he has with Raila for hatred towards Nyanza region.
He decided to clear the air about this while on a tour in Nyanza saying that he cannot discriminate or be against the people of Nyanza yet he is the President of Kenya.
He called out the media and warned them against reporting false news that bring disunity among Kenyans.
Ruto said “Please those incharge of our media houses, stop being the reason why Kenyans are not united. Stop propagating hatred among Kenyans. You have written that Ruto is against Nyanza, how can that happen when I’m their president?”
According to him, there is no tribalism in Kenya since all Kenyans voted and even Raila got 25% votes from Uasin Gishu and 20% from Central region.
He advised the media and Kenyans to be united because Kenya belongs to everyone.
