Queen Tobi-Phillips Ogunwusi, the wife of the paramount ruler of Ile-ife, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan, revealed some information about herself during an interview with the BBC Yoruba.
During the interview, Queen Tobi-Phillips Ogunwusi said, “I came from a family of three, two boys and a girl, and I am a graduate of marine science from the University of Lagos. I am a fashion designer and painter, and I have participated in several beauty contests, winning 8 out of 9.
She further continued, “I was into fashion designing because of the passion I have for it, and while I was younger, I had difficulty explaining to tailors the type of design I wanted and for them to also get it exactly as I wanted it to be, and again, my mother’s family is into tailoring, so I developed an interest in sewing there.”
“Before I ventured completely into fashion designing and painting, I had work for the government, but I had to later drop the work to focus on my passion.”
“It was my friend, who happened to be from a royal family, who introduced me to him, and as God wanted it to be, we got married.”
