Done deal: Josh Wilson-Esbrand joins Coventry City
Coventry City have made their second January transfer signing by bringing in Josh Wilson-Esbrand on loan from reigning Premier League champions Manchester City. The 20-year-old England Under-20 left-back has signed with the Championship club until the end of the season. The London-born defender will be making his first loan move away from Manchester since joining City from West Ham’s Academy in 2019.
Done deal: Miguel Azeez joins Wigan Athletic
Wigan Athletic have signed midfielder Miguel Azeez from Premier League side Arsenal on loan until the end of the 2022-23 season. The 20-year-old spent time on loan with League One side Portsmouth last season, making 10 appearances for the club. An England youth international, Azeez spent the first half of this season on loan with Spanish side UD Ibiza.
Arsenal considering move for Hazard
Arsenal are considering a shock swoop for Real Madrid flop Eden Hazard if their move for Mykhailo Mudryk fails. The Gunners are in negotiations to sign the Shakhtar Dontesk winger, with their growing optimism that a transfer fee is close to being agreed. Mudryk has already agreed personal terms with Arsenal, so the feeling is that this deal will go through – despite a recent attempt from Chelsea to hijack it. But Media Foot reports that if the Mudryk deal does fall through, Arsenal will turn their attentions to Hazard.
Man Utd Agree Weghorst Deal
Manchester United have reached a verbal agreement with Wout Weghorst over a loan deal. The Red Devils are ready to pay €3 million but Besiktas will only sanction the transfer if they can find a replacement, reports Fabrizio Romano.
