All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flag bearer Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu has accused former president Olusegun Obasanjo and former vice president Atiku Abubakar of squandering the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).

Tinubu made the accusation while addressing party loyalists during a rally organised by his party in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.

The APC presidential candidate stated that the former president and his vice shared the PTDF money instead of using it for the purpose intended.

“We mean what we say. We are not like that other party, 16 years of argument, absent mindedness.

CJN Warns Against Undermining Rule Of Law

The Chief Justice of Nigeria Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, on Tuesday, warned politicians and the public not to disregard the rule of law, as he also warned against contempt of the judiciary, saying he would not tolerate those under his watch.

Ariwoola stated this at the Conference of Attorneys General which held in Abuja, noting that the silence of the judiciary must not be mistaken for weakness or vulnerability.

The CJN, who was represented by a Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, said, “I wish to let whoever cares to listen know that nobody no matter his or her position in society should mistake our golden silence for weakness or vulnerability.

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), late Monday in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, and boasted that his entire estate is domiciled in Nigeria.

This was as he said Nigerians must remain in their fatherland to “salvage it together.”

“Nobody can blackmail me. I do not have one square inch outside Nigeria, and I intend to stay in Nigeria when I retire from public office,” Buhari said at a state banquet organised in his honour.

The Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, disclosed this in a statement he signed on Tuesday titled, “Buhari: Nobody can blackmail me on illicit enrichment, and he vows to serve God and Nigeria until his last day in office.

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, on Tuesday, said the presidency of Nigeria is not a retirement loan, insisting that the country needs a stingy leader at the moment.

Obi also said he owed no one any apologies for being stingy, adding that he is the youngest, the fittest and the most qualified candidate to be President among the four leading contestants.

He stated these at the All Saints Cathedral Field, Onitsha, Anambra State, before a crowd of supporters and party faithful as part of his nationwide campaign.
