On Wednesday, prominent party players left the party’s presidential campaign rally in Enugu State, worsening the crisis roiling the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, spoke to a crowd in Enugu’s Michael Okpara Square, according to DAILY POST.
Leaders of the party in the state, such as Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama, minister of foreign affairs, Senator Ken Nnamani, former president of the Senate, Barr. Sullivan Chime, former governor of Enugu, Mr. Eugene Odoh, former speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Chief Onyemuche Nnamani, and others, opted not to attend the event.
Mr. Osita Okechukwu, director general of Voice of Nigeria, Barr. Ben Nwoye, former state party chairman, and Barr. Mrs. Juliet Ibekaku, presidential aide, were also not present.
Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu, Tinubu was welcomed by the leaders earlier in the day.
