JUST IN: TSC To Recruit 20,000 Primary and 38,000 Secondary Teachers After This Latest Announcement

Unemployed teachers in the Republic of Kenya now seems to be the most lucky public servants as Government plan of annually recruiting 20,000 primary school teachers and 38,000 secondary school teachers are revealed.

This comes shortly after the Government through the Teachers Service Commission body recently announced 35,550 positions to be applied by teachers who will be posted to Junior Secondary schools this month.

According to the latest report by Nation, under the education reforms proposals, it has now been revealed that an estimated annual recruitment of 20,000 primary school teachers and 38,000 secondary school teachers will be undertaken, with an average annual cost of maintaining a primary school teacher at Sh300,000 and that of a secondary school teacher at Sh 480,000.

Reports also reveal that the Kenya Kwanza Government has plans of spending Sh 800,000 to build two classrooms and Sh 4.5 million to construct an omnibus laboratory in each school.
