During Channels TV People’s TownHall Programme, Labour Party’s Presidential candidate, Peter Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed responded to several questions concerning current issues in the country and Peter Obi assured Nigerians on the issues concerning Heath in the country.
The former Governor of Anambra state said he will provide access to health for everyone through insurance which was a strategy used in countries like Indonesia and India.
According to him
“We’ve a country called Indonesia, they are 265million people, they are providing health through insurances. While poor people are paying little or nothing, the rich people are paying more”
“We’re going to ensure that the insurance work and I am going to supervise health, education and pull people out of poverty. We’re going to do it rightly, but we’re going to do it where it works”
“We’ll try to do things in a way that Nigerians will see their money transparently applied and they will see the results”
