With Premier League leaders, Arsenal now in sight, Manchester City will be hoping to win as much games as they can so they will be able to gain momentum in the title race.
The first match they have to win is the encounter against Manchester United at Old Trafford next week Saturday but, Pep Guardiola’s men who would be looking to avoid defeat, may end up dropping points when they take on their neighbours in the Manchester derby at Old Trafford.
Manchester United who lost embarrassingly to City with a scoreline of 6-3 in October last year, are no longer the same team that they were. Erik Ten Hag’s men have slowly established themselves as one of the biggest forces in the Premier League this season.
Another match that could see Manchester City drop points in the title race is their next match against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday, January 19. Though both teams are yet to meet this season, the encounter would most likely be filled with actions.
While Manchester City will be hoping to emerge victorious, Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to get as much points as they can with their top four race still very much alive.
No doubt, Tottenham Hotspur will do all they can to emerge victorious when they take on City at the Etihad stadium. If Manchester City fail to win the match the one against Manchester United, the aftermath could be disastrous for them in the title race most especially if Arsenal maintain a 100% win record within the same period.
