The spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party presidential campaign council, Charles Aniagwu has lambasted the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu over unfulfilled promises he made prior to the 2015 presidential elections.
Speaking in an interview with Arise News, the PDP Chieftain recounted how Bola Tinubu promised Nigerians that students in higher institutions will not spend more than the stipulated time for their degree programs.
He also recounted how Bola Tinubu promised that when Buhari gets into power, educational loans would be made available to students who are in need of it.
Charles Aniagwu however noted that despite the fact the promises were left unfulfilled, Bola Tinubu is still promising to make sure that loans are made available to students if he gets elected.
Charles Aniagwu said “In 2015, Bola Tinubu was the one who promised that any student who goes to school will only be there for four years and nothing more, you know better today how many years they’re staying in school. In 2015, Bola Tinubu was the one who promised that they would give loans to students, eight years after, he (Bola Tinubu) is still talking about educational loan. What kind of deception is that? He was not able to do anything to make a difference in line with the many promises he made.
“He spoke more in 2015, far more than president Muhammadu Buhari. So if you’re to even hold anybody for the many promises that were cancelled, you will be holding Tinubu responsible because, he was the one who made all the promises far more than even president Muhammadu Buhari.”
