Following the delays in payment of Higher Education Loan Board (HELB) for semester two (2) the body has stated a message of hope to Comrades as different Universities and colleges starts reporting to their respective campuses.
Despite the hope for Comrades to get semester two cash comrades are still in a dilemma especially after the President William Ruto’s statement on abolishing of HELB to merge both TVET and HELB.
While responding to the confusion on their board since disbursement of cash is done remaining payments of the accounts on their Official verified Twitter account on Friday 6th January, HELB sated that payment of the accounts will be done before the reopening dates of different institutions.
“Hello, Disbursement of the funds will be fine before the reopening dates provided by the institutions for the semester 2. ^JW,” wrote on their official Twitter account.
Due to delays in payment, low reporting rate is witnessed in different institutions of higher learning given that they depends on the money for School fees and payment of rent since some were set to reopen as early as 3rd of January.
