The PPRO confirmed that the suspects confessed saying, “after cutting his throat with a knife, we abandoned him (his corpse in a pool of blood) to avoid being arrested by police officers.”
The suspects, a 25 year-old Babangida Adamu ‘m’ and 22 year-old Abubakar Adamu (AKA Ubale), said they killed a certain Ibrahim Ahmadu who caught them red-handed stealing sesame seed from his father’s farm.
According to the PPRO, the knife the suspects used to kill the victim was found in his (the victim’s) pocket when they were having physical exchange. While Ubale held the legs of the victim, Babangida gripped his head and hands with his knee and slit his throat till he bled to death.
While commiserating with the victim’s family, the state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Aminu Alhassan, ordered that the two suspects should be immediately charged to court once investigations are concluded about their case.
What are your thoughts about the criminal act committed by these youths who are still in their twenties?
