KTN News Anchor Ken Mijungu caught President William Ruto off-guard after asking him to admit that the Standard Gauge Railway project was a heist in that the latest released agreement revealed that the amount of money used to construct the project was exaggerated.
But responding to Ken Mijungu’s question, the head of state seemed to struggle to respond to the query unlike during the campaign period when he used to openly tell Kenyans that the SGR project’s money was embezzled by leaders close to Uhuru Kenyatta among others.
In his argument, the head of state added that he cannot be forced to admit that the SGR project was a heist yet there are no factual proofs that the budget was exaggerated. Also, Ruto added that the commission of inquiry that is about to be formed will soon inform what happened.
Equally, Ruto said his Govt won’t borrow to subsidies consumption unlike Uhuru.
