COVID-19 UPDATE: 47 Positive Cases Confirmed Across Kenya

Health Cabinet Secretary Nakhumicha Wafula has released Covid-19 updates for day 1,021 since the virus hit the country in March 2020.

In a statement released by the Ministry of Health, 47 cases have been confirmed positive for Covid-19 in a sample size of 729. 35 of the positive cases are female while 12 are male.

Kisumu County leads with 35 cases in terms of distribution; Nairobi and Uasin Gishu 4 cases each, Nakuru 2, lastly Siaya and Nyeri have 1 case each.

The total number of confirmed cases since Covid-19 was reported in the country stands 342,562 in a total of 3,959,753 tests. The number of fatalities stands at 5688.

The Ministry of Health continues to urge the public to wash their hands and get vaccinated against Covid-19. The vaccine is free of charge in public hospitals.
