Transfer News: Arsenal Pays £85 Million For Mudryk, Newcastle Is Interested In McTominay

Arsenal Pays £85 Million For Mudryk

Mykhaylo Mudryk’s asking price of £85 million has reportedly been met by Arsenal after Shakhtar Donetsk rejected their second offer, according to sources.

As Mikel Arteta searches for a winger in the January transfer window, the Gunners have submitted bids of £55 million and £62 million over the previous few days. Shakhtar, though, is certain about their £85 million price tag.

However, the Ukrainian team has rejected their most recent attempt to reach an agreement on a deal for the winger. It is believed that talks between the two clubs are still ongoing, with Chelsea also interested in signing Mudryk.

The player has recently posted on social media about the north London club and would want to join them, but it appears Arsenal will instead sign him.

Newcastle Is Interested In McTominay

The January transfer market is currently open, and Manchester United player Scott McTominay still has fans at Newcastle.

Due to intense competition for the central midfield positions from Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, the Scotland international has only started six Premier League games this season.

However, United reportedly wants to keep him at Old Trafford for at least the rest of the current campaign. Newcastle has also been connected to Jorginho, another defensive midfielder.
