Tinubu reveals he will end fuel subsidy, if elected president

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate, stated that petrol subsidies will end if he were to win the upcoming presidential election. Tinubu made this claim in an interview while travelling to Saudi Arabia for the lesser Hajj.

Tinubu contends that the subsidy system is unfair to the poor and that previous administrations’ subsidy payments were a waste of funds that should have been used to help the general public. Tinubu contends that subsidies should end since they only help the wealthy.

Distribute money to individuals in need as a subsidy. As several of you noted, we will wisely invest the money in things like energy, health, and education. No matter how long people continue to resist, we’ll end the subsidies. We will, for sure. How are we going to pay for the fuel that Cameroon, Niger, the Benin Republic, and other nearby nations require?

While other countries are setting up charging stations, we are unable to supply adequate electricity to cook plantains. Therefore, we must be able to generate electricity in any way that is practical. Furthermore, I promise that no further fees will be added later. We’ll speak the talk and walk the walk at the same time.
