Manchester United defender Luke Shaw produced another outstanding performance against Bournemouth.
After two games at center-back, Shaw returned to his more familiar left-back position. After Casemiro scored in the first half, the England international scored his first goal of the season to double Manchester United’s lead.
After connecting with substitute Alejandro Garnacho’s low cross from the right flank, the Manchester United defender finished off a brilliant move by guiding the ball home from 12 yards on his weaker right foot.
Shaw began the move deep inside United’s half, exchanged passes with Marcus Rashford, carried the ball up the field, played it out wide, continued his run, and then converted Garnacho’s delivery. It was an excellent team goal, demonstrating yet again that the defender is a typical playmaker from an unusual position.
The defender gave everything he had, and he appeared to be having a fantastic season, comparable to the best left back in the world. That is what every fan wants to see from a player of his caliber, and United fans adore him for it.
