C/R: Apostolic On The Verge Of Collapse, Fear Of Danger Looms Congregants – Details

The congregants of Apostolic Church Ghana, Assin Asano branch in the Assin South District of the Central Region have been gripped with fear of danger as they have been worshipping under a death trap after a heavy storm destroyed their roofing some months ago.

The harsh condition under which the congregants worship has discouraged the youths and most of the congregants to stop attending church services because of fear of endangering their lives which has drastically reduced the enrollment of the church, having negative effects on its capital incentives.

Some members of the church disclosed to Randasty and Anaafi Kokooto that, the church is compelled to close early under cloudy weather to prevent any casualty associated with the weather since the building is in a dilapidated state.

The church which was established in the early 90s was receiving renovation until a heavy storm washed away its roofing sheet and other parts of the building.

Speaking with the leaders of the church at the branch level, they disclosed that the nature of their place of worship is demoralizing members anytime they set foot in the church premises, affecting the enrollment as well as having an adverse impact on its purpose of service.

They are therefore calling on the National Disaster Management Organization, individual organizations, Philanthropists, Political Leaders and traditional authorities to come to their aid to salvage the situation since the building serve different important purpose to the community at large.
