{"id":996078,"date":"2022-02-18T14:54:47","date_gmt":"2022-02-18T14:54:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/18\/super-clash-to-be-played-with-25-stadium-capacity\/"},"modified":"2022-02-18T14:54:47","modified_gmt":"2022-02-18T14:54:47","slug":"super-clash-to-be-played-with-25-stadium-capacity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/18\/super-clash-to-be-played-with-25-stadium-capacity\/","title":{"rendered":"Super Clash to be played with 25% stadium capacity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\">\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"419\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/1645196087_121_HEARTS-696x419.jpg\"   alt=\"Fans at stadium\" title=\"Fans at stadium\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Fans at stadium<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Sunday\u2019s Super Clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium will see the venue maintain the 25% stadium capacity, the National Sports Authority (NSA) has confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>The government imposed a restriction on all match centres across the country to allow just 25% of the fans into the stadium as a measure to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p>The NSA was looking to see that number increase ahead of the clash between Hearts and Kotoko on Sunday as they asked the government\u2019s COVID-19 Taskforce to ease the restrictions in order to see more fans attend the game.<\/p>\n<p>However, the latest reports indicate the government is yet to respond to the demand of the NSA, with the Ghana Football Association also said to have printed just 9,200 tickets, which represents 25% of the stadium capacity, to the NSA for distribution ahead of the encounter.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p><strong>READ ALSO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking in an interview, the NSA\u2019s Public Relations Officer, Charles Amofah, said his entourage is still hopeful of a last-minute change in mind from the health authorities to allow them to admit more fans at the Accra Sports Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is no longer about just health, it also has security implications,\u201d he told Citi Sports.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDue to the high demand in the game, we anticipate that too many people will gather around the stadium, trying to force their way in. We experienced that in the game between Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics last season.
