For those of us who have experience with\u00a0long-distance relationships, we know how difficult it can be to maintain a connection with someone you only see a few times a year. <\/p>\n

But one woman from the US has been left heartbroken after she travelled across the country to see her boyfriend, who was away studying at university, only to find he was\u00a0seeing someone else\u00a0behind her back.<\/p>\n

Mary Fatz, who posts on\u00a0TikTok\u00a0under the username\u00a0@maryfatz, revealed in a video that she had travelled to her boyfriend\u2019s halls of residence and had knocked on his door, but no one had answered even though she knew he was in \u2013 because he had another girl in his room with him.<\/p>\n

In the video, which shows Mary looking confused as she stands in the hallway to his bedroom, she wrote: \u201cWhen you go to visit your long-distance boyfriend and he doesn\u2019t answer because he has a girl over.\u201d<\/p>\n

The woman\u2019s video has quickly gone viral and currently has over 28.4 million views \u2013 with more than 7,000 commenters leaving messages of support for her. <\/p>\n

Several commenters even shared their own experiences with dating long-distance, as they claimed they\u2019d been through similar heartbreaking situations themselves.<\/p>\n

One person said: \u201cI had the exact same thing happen to me, except his roommate let me into his room without him knowing.\u201d<\/p>\n

While another added: \u201cI\u2019ve been done so wrong in the past that I would assume the guys in the back were his lookouts and he texted them to see who was at the door.\u201d<\/p>\n

And a third wrote: \u201cI was going to visit my ex at university and he told me not to come because I was his \u2018hometown girl\u2019. Which meant he was cheating.\u201d<\/p>\n

More commenters also tried to lift Mary\u2019s spirits, as they told her she deserves better than a man who cheats.<\/p>\n

Someone said: \u201cYou don\u2019t deserve him!\u201d<\/p>\n

As someone else insisted: \u201cThis is my biggest fear, and this is why I\u2019ll never do this.\u201d<\/p>\n
