In Gauteng, South Africa, a soldier and a police officer have been arrested, along with 11 other people, for a cash-in-transit heist on Friday. Groups of people between the ages of 21 and 50 attacked a cash truck and took off with an unknown amount of money on the R501 road near the N12 highway.

“Police saw four getaway cars speeding down the R501 in Carletonville. They then took off in different directions. A shootout broke out between the suspects and the police, which led to one officer being hurt. “The shootout didn’t stop the police from looking for the suspects, and they kept going.” “Robert Netshiunda, a spokesperson for the South African Police Service, said that.

He said that officers kept looking for the suspects’ car, and that their careful investigation led them to a place on Geranium Street in Carletonville where one of the getaway cars was found. He said there was money in the car that he didn’t say about. “The search that came after led to the arrest of three men and a woman, as well. A little more investigation led to the arrest of six more people. Preliminary investigations say that one of the getaway cars was reportedly stolen in Elsburg in April of 2021.

Three people were arrested in Krugersdorp, South Africa, after a Toyota Quantum thought to be one of the getaway cars was spotted “Netshuiunda said that. Another car, a Hyundai Tuscan that was also used as a getaway vehicle, was found by police after they looked into more things. The team then went to Bambatha Street in Kagiso, where they found a drone and a police jacket with a reflective strip.

People who are accused of armed robbery, trying to kill a police officer, taking a hijacked car, having stolen goods, and having dagga will soon be in court, says Netshiunda.
