A charity has recommended pupils should not refer to teachers as \u2018Mr\u2019 or \u2018Mrs\u2019, declaring that it would be better to address them on a neutral ground. The charity is therefore recommending the use of -neutral terms such as \u2018teacher\u2019 to refer to staff. They noted that this is the proper thing to do because of -neutral people, who do not want to be offended. However, one attendee branded it \u2018propaganda\u2019 and criticised her union for funding it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Social media users have also reacted with fury, saying \u2018the world\u2019s gone mad\u2019. Recall that some few months ago, a transgender man who gave birth to a baby was angered by nurses because they used the word \u201cmother\u201d for him. He insisted that he is a man who just gave birth. The new guidance was discussed in a segment on ITV\u2019s This Morning today.<\/p>\n

Some people criticised the statement, saying that neural people are trying to bring out issues where there is no issue. One social media user echoed, \u201cNobody has to have good manners now. All you are required to do is be a slave to the woke agenda, or risk being labelled as phobic of any cause or group that\u2019s being promoted as normal. I thought we used those terms because it showed good manners\u201d. Nevertheless, one person supported them, saying that calling them teachers instead of miss or sir, is better. She wrote, \u201cI think you can be called whatever you fancy \u2013 but should children call all women \u201cmiss\u201d, or only those who are unmarried? Or should they use \u201cms\u201d? Just sticking to \u201cTeacher\u201d sounds much simpler to me\u201d. This issue, like any other issue from LGTBQ community, is generating heated arguments on social media, especially Twitter where the issue is currently being debated among social media users.<\/p>\n
