{"id":990144,"date":"2022-02-14T13:31:16","date_gmt":"2022-02-14T13:31:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/14\/renault-and-ghana-boxing-authority-sign-sponsorship-deal\/"},"modified":"2022-02-14T13:31:16","modified_gmt":"2022-02-14T13:31:16","slug":"renault-and-ghana-boxing-authority-sign-sponsorship-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/14\/renault-and-ghana-boxing-authority-sign-sponsorship-deal\/","title":{"rendered":"RENAULT and Ghana Boxing Authority sign sponsorship deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/RENAULT.jpg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"RENAULT\"\/><\/div>\n<p>In a historic first of its kind for Boxing in West Africa, automobile giants Renault Ghana, through Premium Motors, have given the sport a massive boost with a mega sponsorship of two brand new Renault KWID vehicles ahead of the Professional Boxing League.<\/p>\n<p>The CEO of Renault Ghana \u2013 Mr Jihad Hijazi, who signed on behalf of his company, expressed pride as well as a total commitment to the exciting new venture which will be broadcast LIVE every two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the impressive signing and presentation ceremony at Premium Motors headquarters in Accra, Mr Hijazi said he believes boxing is about to step up a whole new level with the Professional Boxing League in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a project we are proud to be part of as our contribution to sports development in Ghana through boxing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, iMax Media Group, who are lead investors with 1.7 million dollars for the Boxing League, was represented by Director Mr Fadi Fattal together with Yaw Ampofo-Ankrah and rederick Amoah.<\/p>\n<p>The President of Ghana Boxing Authority, Abraham Kotei Neequaye, signed and sealed the contract with the highly respected car manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p>Renowned Ghanaian Boxing promoters John Amanfo and Michael \u2018Golden Mike\u2019 Tetteh, also represented the Board of GBA.<\/p>\n<p>The two vehicles will be presented to the Best Overall Boxing Gym and the Best Overall Boxer at the end of the upcoming bi-monthly boxing championship.<\/p>\n<p>The novelty league, which is due to take off on the 19th of February 2022 at the Bukom Boxing Arena, will feature 12 gyms and over 100 boxers.<\/p>\n<p>The Ghana Professional Boxing League itself was launched on 23rd December 2021 and has been hailed as one of the most significant sports projects in Ghana in recent times.<\/p>\n<p>The GBA and iMax Media Group signed a five-year boxing development partnership deal at the launch in the presence of key boxing stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>At the launch, the CEO of Imax Media Group, Maxwell Techie, reiterated that it was indeed a great honour for his organisation to work with the entire boxing fraternity to rebrand, develop and promote boxing in Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>            <!--  [embed]https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=videoseries[\/embed]<!--\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>--><\/p>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"dnpi3PYsFBI\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Publication of Fake News \u2013 Adom TV News (11-2-22)\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dnpi3PYsFBI?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a historic first of its kind for Boxing in West Africa, automobile giants Renault Ghana, through Premium Motors, have given the sport a massive boost with a mega sponsorship of two brand new Renault KWID vehicles ahead of the Professional Boxing League.
