{"id":987734,"date":"2022-02-12T14:13:13","date_gmt":"2022-02-12T14:13:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/12\/ronaldos-son-joins-manchester-united\/"},"modified":"2022-02-12T14:13:13","modified_gmt":"2022-02-12T14:13:13","slug":"ronaldos-son-joins-manchester-united","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/12\/ronaldos-son-joins-manchester-united\/","title":{"rendered":"Ronaldo&#8217;s son joins Manchester United"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"570\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/NINTCHDBPICT000711029442-1-696x570-1.jpg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"NINTCHDBPICT000711029442-1-696x570\"\/><\/div>\n<p>Cristino Ronaldo Jr has signed for Manchester United in a stunning deal \u2013 and will also wear the shirt of his prestigious father.<\/p>\n<p>The 11-year-old has been playing for the academy at the club this season.<\/p>\n<p>Cristiano Ronaldo Jr is following in his father\u2019s footsteps after penning a professional deal with Manchester United.<\/p>\n<p>It comes after months of playing for the club\u2019s academy, a move which happened after Ronaldo Sr returned to Old Trafford in the summer.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>The announcement came inadvertently through fellow youngster Gabriel on his Instagram, who has also signed a contract with United.<\/p>\n<p>In a post that has nearly 7,000 likes, Jjnr10 said: \u201cDelighted to finally have my signing day done even better to have mine with teammates @cristiano JR.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The youngster is sponsored by Nike and already has over 25,000 followers whereas Ronaldo Jr has yet to open an Instagram account.<\/p>\n<p>Ronaldo\u2019s child followed him to United after leaving Juventus\u2019 academy last summer as his father did to make a sensational return to Old Trafford.<\/p>\n<p>The last time the five-time Ballon d\u2019Or winner played for the Red Devils, his son had not even been born.<\/p>\n<p>But he now has the opportunity to go up through the ranks at United while his dad has already stated he would not pressure him to get into football.<\/p>\n<p>In a Netflix documentary centred on his other half Georgina Rodriguez, Ronaldo said of his son\u2019s ability: \u201cOnly time will tell. I will never pressure him. He will do what he wants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlso what I want the most for Cristianito and everyone else is that they\u2019re happy and that they choose what they want. I will support in any way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ronaldo, 37, also admitted that he is reluctant to give his son a mobile phone \u2013 like many others his own age.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cDefinitely it helps a lot.
