{"id":987515,"date":"2022-02-12T11:05:29","date_gmt":"2022-02-12T11:05:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/12\/otto-addo-can-lead-black-stars-to-beat-nigeria\/"},"modified":"2022-02-12T11:05:29","modified_gmt":"2022-02-12T11:05:29","slug":"otto-addo-can-lead-black-stars-to-beat-nigeria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/12\/otto-addo-can-lead-black-stars-to-beat-nigeria\/","title":{"rendered":"Otto Addo can lead Black Stars to beat Nigeria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\">\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/IMG-20220210-WA0123-696x464.jpg\"   alt=\"Kwesi Nyantakyi\" title=\"Kwesi Nyantakyi\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kwesi Nyantakyi<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Former Ghana Football Association [GFA] capo, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has backed newly appointed Black Stars interim boss, Otto Addo to make history with the team.<\/p>\n<p>Addo, 43, takes up the mantle as the successor of Milovan Rajevac.<\/p>\n<p>The Serbian trainer was dismissed after Black Stars poor performance at the just-ended 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] in Cameroon.<\/p>\n<p>He will be assisted by George Boateng and former Asante Kotoko coach, Didi Dramani.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>The newly constituted technical team has been tasked to steer the Black Stars to book a place in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the noise around the appointment of Addo, the former CAF 1<sup>st<\/sup> Vice President has called for support for the technical team, adding that Otto Addo can make history with the team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ ALSO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking on <em><strong>GTV Sports Plus<\/strong><\/em>\u2019 \u2018Saving our Passion\u2019 on Thursday, Mr Nyantakyi said: \u201cThis is a new technical team and I believe when we support them physically and spiritually, we can do it against Nigeria.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOtto Addo is on the verge of qualifying the Black Stars for the World Cup but at this era, he must take decisions on his own.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI strongly believe that we will make it to Qatar.
