<\/div>\nCheating is of course a sensitive topic for many people, and it\u2019s understandable that some people will struggle to forgive such behaviour, even when it comes to their very best friends.<\/p>\n
One\u00a0single mum\u00a0has opened up about her best friend refusing to speak to her after she admitted to having slept with a man who she knew full well was already in a relationship.<\/p>\n
The mum-of-three told how she has been single for more than six years and hasn\u2019t been all that interested in\u00a0dating.<\/p>\n
However, her life became more complicated after she met a man in a bar a couple of months back.<\/p>\n

As she claimed on the\u00a0Netmums forum,\u00a0the woman \u2013 who goes by the username Zoe L \u2013 accepted a drink from the man in question, and they proceeded to talk for the rest of the night.<\/p>\n
He was upfront straight away about having a girlfriend, and so Zoe \u201cwasn\u2019t interested in pursuing anything with him\u201d. However, as she explained it, \u201cthe banter was good\u201d.<\/p>\n
At the end of the night, Zoe added her new friend on\u00a0SnapChat\u00a0so she could let him know once she got home safe, and, as she got into a taxi, the man leaned in to give her a kiss.<\/p>\n
Admitting that she\u2019d \u201chad quite a bit to drink\u201d by this point, Zoe kissed him back. The next day, she \u201cfelt awful\u201d knowing that he already had a girlfriend, however, despite her regrets, their story didn\u2019t end here.<\/p>\n
According to Zoe, the pair \u201chave exchanged snaps and texts almost every day\u201d. Although these have been \u201cmostly quite innocent\u201d, some messages have \u201cturned quite flirty when one or both of us has been drinking\u201d.<\/p>\n
Things escalated after a night out with a male friend last weekend. Zoe sent some Snaps to the man she\u2019s been messaging, and he told her to let him know if she needed a lift. She said she\u2019d be fine, but promised she\u2019d let him know once she was home safe and sound.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, Zoe ended up leaving her phone in the taxi and was only able to get it back the following day. Although she messaged him \u201cstraight away\u201d, she was surprised to find that the man was \u201creally off\u201d with her, and asked him what was up.<\/p>\n
Zoe revealed: \u201cHe said he was jealous and thought I had spent the night with the friend I had been out with, I was hungover and in bad form so told him to get lost he was the one in a relationship and it really wasn\u2019t anything to do with him even if I had spent the night with my friend\u201d.<\/p>\n
The next morning, the man texted Zoe \u201capologising for being a d**k\u201d, admitting that, ever since they\u2019d met he hadn\u2019t been able to stop thinking about her. Zoe told him that she \u201cwas happy on my own but felt the same and wasn\u2019t interested whilst he was still in a relationship\u201d.<\/p>\n
They decided to meet up in person and headed to the beach for a coffee, spending around two hours talking together. Then, Zoe explained, \u201cone thing led to another and we ended up having sex\u201d, which she claims \u201cwas the best I\u2019ve ever had\u201d.<\/p>\n
Zoe recalled: \u201cWhen he dropped me home the guilt hit and I rang my best friend for advice. She knew I had been talking with him for two months but has always warned me to keep my distance, once a cheater always a cheater. When I told her I slept with him she completely lost it and hasn\u2019t spoken to me since\u201d.<\/p>\n
Feeling \u201cso confused\u201d about the situation, Zoe confessed to her fellow Netmums users that, although she doesn\u2019t want a relationship with him, she \u201ccan\u2019t get him out of my head\u201d, and now fears she may \u201chave lost my best friend over a moment of selfishness\u201d.<\/p>\n
One commenter advised her \u201cto give your friend time\u201d and to \u201capologise and block on him on everything if you really don\u2019t want to end up in a mess\u201d, while another urged her to \u201cspeak to your friend, show her you know you\u2019ve done wrong, etc and forget this man\u201d.<\/p>\n
A third person wrote: \u201cYou say this has boosted your self-confidence. When his girlfriend finds out, she\u2019s going to lose hers. Are you willing to lose a friend over him? He\u2019s cheated on the woman he loves with you so he\u2019s not trustworthy How long until he cheats on you?\u201d<\/p>\n
