{"id":981158,"date":"2022-02-08T09:40:44","date_gmt":"2022-02-08T09:40:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/08\/akim-oda-mp-disburses-interest-free-loans-to-constituents\/"},"modified":"2022-02-08T09:40:44","modified_gmt":"2022-02-08T09:40:44","slug":"akim-oda-mp-disburses-interest-free-loans-to-constituents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/02\/08\/akim-oda-mp-disburses-interest-free-loans-to-constituents\/","title":{"rendered":"Akim Oda MP disburses interest-free loans to constituents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size: 17px;\">\n                                                   Akim Oda (E\/R), Feb. 7,\u202fGNA &#8211; Mr Alexander Akwasi Acquah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Akim Oda Constituency, has disbursed 140,000 Ghana cedis to the constituency&#8217;s Finance Committee for traders as interest-free loans to boost their businesses.<\/p>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">He, however, urged beneficiaries to comply with the modalities of repayment to enable others to benefit.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">Mr Acquah said the gesture was done in fulfilment of part of his promise to the electorates during the 2020 Parliamentary election.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">To enable him to successfully execute his duties and regularly touch base with grassroots for effective decision-making, the MP subsequently established a seven-member committee to handle affairs.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">Mr Kingsley Kwegyir, Chairman for the constituency Finance Committee, said the committee had done onward distribution of the 140,000 Ghana cedis to 200 traders who registered for the loan.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">He said they were from the 18 electoral areas, including Gyadem, Akim Oda Nkwanta, Aboabo, Asenee, Essam and Akim Oda Nkwantanum.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">The beneficiaries are engaged in the sale of goods like clothes, cosmetics, food stuff, vegetables and fishes.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">The Chairman noted that measures were being put in place to get another batch of recipients of the loan.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">Madam Isabella Anning, a clothes seller and a beneficiary, thanked the MP for the support, adding that the disbursement\u202fwas not discriminatory.<\/div>\n<div class=\"kMultiLine\">In a related development, the MP had rallied the support of traders for the E-Levy, saying it was\u202fan opportunity for everyone to contribute to Ghana&#8217;s economic development.<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Akim Oda (E\/R), Feb. 7,\u202fGNA &#8211; Mr Alexander Akwasi Acquah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Akim Oda Constituency, has disbursed 140,000 Ghana cedis to the constituency&#8217;s Finance Committee for traders as interest-free loans to boost their businesses.
