A woman said she faked an\u00a0engagement\u00a0so she could get free drinks, treats, and days out while on holiday \u2013 and all it cost her was \u00a33 for a fake\u00a0ring. <\/p>\n

TikTok\u00a0star Fran Starkey,\u00a0@franstarkey, took to social media to share her recent trip to Venice, showing pictures of herself drinking glasses of champagne on the plane and going on a trip down the canals.<\/p>\n

A stranger even bought her some drinks on a night out to help her celebrate and her coffee came with free homemade pastries and biscuits, as the\u00a0Daily Star reports.<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s all because while she\u2019s away she pretended to be engaged, offering her \u00a33 ring as proof \u2013 and now her followers have said they\u2019ll be trying it themselves.<\/p>\n

She shared stills from her holiday in the video which was captioned: \u201cFaking my engagement celebrations in Venice to get cheaper stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

In one still, she had a glass of bubbly, and wrote: \u201cFree champers on the plane.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then she shared a picture of a boat ride, writing: \u201cBride goes free on the gondola (half price).\u201d<\/p>\n

Then a round of drinks, captioned: \u201cRich men buying us drinks to celebrate\u201d, then: \u201cCoffee made with extra love and free sides.\u201d<\/p>\n

The clip was watched more than 300,000 times on the video-sharing app and many viewers thought it was a great idea, and some shared their own blagging experiences.<\/p>\n

One user confessed: \u201cWherever I go I always tell them it\u2019s our anniversary, generally get room upgrades in hotels and free drinks lol.\u201d<\/p>\n

A second said: \u201cMy boyfriend said no when I wanted to try to get a hotel upgrade.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMight have to do this,\u201d admitted another, while someone else commented, \u201cthis seems like a fun idea.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, an\u00a0Airbnb\u00a0owner\u00a0was left baffled by a confused guest who couldn\u2019t figure out how to open the fridge\u00a0or use the oven.<\/p>\n

TikTok user Michelle,\u00a0@theflowertruck, got a series of text messages from the young woman who seemed to be struggling with most appliances.<\/p>\n
